PURPOSE:

• Works from drawings, diagrams, schematics and/or subsystems.
• Suggests plans and may assist in the design of simple devices, jigs and/or fixtures to be used in the assembly process.
• Suggests methods to improve process or operation and incorporates valid recommendations into process sheets.
• Operating from engineering inputs and moderately complex schematics, provides support in development and/or preparation of drawing specifications, simple schematics, parts and wire lists and/or methods sheets.
• Performs routine measurements such as continuity checks, vernier, micrometer measurement of components, etc.
• May identify areas for potential production problems or issues and make recommendations to appropriate engineering personnel and/or technicians.
• Instructs aids and checks the work of lower classified employees.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, and database administration
Helps with physical data center infrastructure setup & maintenance such as copper/fiber cabling, rack setup, etc
