Responsibilities and Requirements : Part time (8 hours / weekend: 3 hours each morning, 1 hour each afternoon)Weekend chore help must:have a working knowledge of horses;be able to lift 40# (a bale of hay); andbe able to drive a tractor.Report by 8AM on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Feed, turn out and clean stalls for up to 10 horses. Set stalls up with hay and water for night feeding. Small animals must be fed and watered, and barns swept.Afternoon chores can be done between 3 - 4 or 4 -5 PM. Bring horses in and feed grain. Feed small animals, sweep floors clean.When horses are left outside for the weekend, as directed by Farm Manager, and stalls do not need cleaning, then: sheds can be cleaned, manure spread, and arena dragged by driving tractor.Possibility of additional hours and responsibilities.Chittenango area resident preferred to work at ARISE at the Farm, 1972 New Boston Road, Chittenango.
