• BS Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Experienced Storage Professional with Storage Solution assessment and design experience
• NetApp Certified Data Management Admin (NCDA) Certified OR NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIA). Will consider equivalent certifications from other Storage Vendors (EMC, IBM, SUN).
• Basic understanding of the following: NFS, the UNIX remote file sharing protocol, CIFS, the Windows NT remote file sharing protocol, TCPIIP, RAID, Microsoft Exchange and Veritas software, and SAN storage practices.
• Must have at least 1 or more areas of expertise such as: backup and recovery, Exchange DR, Veritas, Lotus Notes, Solaris, or networking; including at least 3 years of experience working in that particular specialty

• Basic knowledge of networks, load balancing and failover technologies.
• Ability to recognize the technology and how it relates to storage management.
• Ability to design storage management solutions including SAN, NAS, DAS technology. Ability to install, and demonstrate NetApp storage solutions to both internal staff and customers.
• Open to considering accomplished Storage Engineer certified and experienced on other Storage Platforms including EMC, IBM, SUN or Toshiba.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and how to utilize them in a customer facing environment.

Our client is a premier reseller of NETAPP scalable Storage Solutions. The Senior Technical Storage Engineer will be the point person for these solutions. Our client offers a robust hands on training program and in house technology labs to build your industry credentials and technology expertise. The salary goal of this position is 95K plus a quarterly MBO program worth an additional 5 to 10K per year. The on-boarding process is a 6 month contract to hire paying $50 per hour on a W2 or $60/hr corp2corp. As a Senior Storage Engineer you will provide NetApp support for diagnosing, reproducing, and fixing software and hardware issues; troubleshoot protocols running on NetApp hardware to assist customer with problem isolation and resolution.
Day to day responsibilities

• Participate in technical communications within the EDM division team to share practices and assist in the sales cycles of storage solutions offerings.
• Responsible for pre-sales technical support, organizing customer meetings and designing solutions.
• Remain current with NetApp technology.
• Present latest NetApp Technology to sales staff and customer in a professional manner.
• Assist other technical staff in the development of solutions for customers.
• Visit customer sites to stay current on how the NetApp technology is being deployed.
• Research customer issues in a timely manner and follow up directly with the customer with
  recommendations and action plans.
• Assist customer with implementation of NetApp technologies when needed.
