Required Skills

• Active TS/SCI FS Polygraph issued by NSA (can accept CI Poly)
• A minimum of five (5) years experience developing software/systems us-ing Java.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience designing and developing applications for execution in distributed computing environments.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience with Apache HADOOP frame-work and MapReduce.
• A minimum of two (2) years experience designing and developing web applications and working with JavaScript.
• Minimum of ten (10) years working on software intensive projects for government or industry customers, demonstrating increasing levels of technical expertise and responsibility

• Within the last three (3) years, demonstrated programming experience leading/strongly supporting a project for one (1) of the following technologies: Web Applications, GUI Development, User Interfaces/Usability, Cloud Computing, Map/Reduce, Geolocation, SW Radio, Text Processing, Natural Language Processing, Java-RMI, SOA, SOAP, RESTful Services, Virtualization, TCP/IP, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Document Processing, Video and Image Processing, Machine Learning/Classification.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a project that develops complex software functionality and execute a complete software life cycle (require-ments, design, develop, test, validate, deploy).

Nice to have
• Demonstrated experience and familiarity with the implementation of Google’s BigTable called CloudBase.
• Demonstrated experience developing applications with the Ruby On Rails framework.

Job Description

Elite Technical is a technology integration and managed service provider. Our client is seeking a Direct Hire experienced Software Engineer with a Current TS/SCI with polygraph for its Annapolis Junction, MD office. The Software Engineers will tackle Cyber domain problems with distributed enterprise and cloud technologies. The engineer will engage with users to understand mission needs, will rapidly prototype and prove solutions to those needs in real-life scenarios, and will inte-grate, harden, and deploy solutions to operational environments using agile development techniques. This position is located in our Annapolis Junction, MD offices.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide expertise, in a leadership capacity, in software development and engineering.
• Code and test software based upon software specifications and designs.
• Analyze and study complex system requirements.
• Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and software development.
• Use sound software engineering principles to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, and fault tolerant.
• Provide software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process.
• Provide SW support such as Software Development, Software Testing, Software Engineering, Integrated Hardware and Software Testing, Data Preparation, Distributed Processing, Analytics and Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, Software Analysis, Visualization & Human-Computer Interface Design & Development, Database and Knowledge Base Research and Development,Multimedia Processing, Geolocation, High Speed Access, and Emerging Mobile Technologies.
