Required Skills
• Active TS/SCI FS Polygraph issued by NSA (can accept CI Poly)
• Experience developing and deploying with the J2EE stack, in technologies such as Spring, Hiber-nate, JUnit, Tomcat and JBoss.
• Experience developing and deploying analytics and jobs to distributed computing environments using Hadoop Map/Reduce or other similar technologies.
• Experience with dynamic languages such as Groovy, Ruby, Scala, or Python.
• Experience working on Unix or Linux operating systems. RHEL is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge developing AJAX driven user interfaces, in technologies such as jQuery and Ext. Experience with GWT may translate.
• Experience using version control systems, such as Git or Subversion. Experience with distributed version control systems, such as Git or Mercurial, is preferred.
• While not required, experience with cloud databases (e.g. HBase) or another NOSQL database is preferred.
• Experience developing and deploying with the Rails stack is beneficial, but not required.
• Experience with Clojure or another functional language is beneficial but not required.

Job Description

Elite Technical is a technology integration and managed service provider. Our client is seeking a Direct Hire an experienced Software Engineer with a Current TS/SCI with polygraph for its Annapolis Junction, MD office. The software engineer will design, develop, integrate and maintain cloud based software systems for our customer. The engineer will write well factored, unit tested object oriented code to create project value as part of an Agile team.
Duties & Responsibilities – The primary responsibilities of the software engineer will be to

• Write well-factored, object-oriented code as part of a pair.
• Refactor existing code to improve its design.
• Practice collective code ownership and take equal responsibility for others’ work as your own.
• Create a suite of automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Give and receive feedback in a positive and constructive manner.
• Help write and estimate the complexity of user stories.
• Continuously grow professionally and technically.
