Position Title : L3 Database Administrator
Location : Santa Rosa, CO
Experience Required : 8-10 Years
Required skills :
Primary Skills:
1. Designing and Architecture of Databases
2. Database Design and Creation
3. Expertise in Installation, Configuration and deployment of Oracle 10g database and Exposure to Real Application Clusters (RAC)
4. 6 – 8 years of experience on Oracle Administration (preferably OCP) in 400-500 instances environment.
5. Installing oracle server and client software, creating, upgrading.
6. Experience in Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g R1 and R2, Tablespace, Schemas, Space management
7. Experience in AIX, HP-UX platforms – AIX HACMP, HP MCSG clustering
8. Expertise in Application/ DB Tuning & Performance Monitoring.
9. Expertise in Patching, Upgrade and Migration of oracle database
10. Experience in working with Tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager's (OEM's), SQL analyzer, Statspack, AWR and TOAD.
11. Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
12. Hands on experience in database backups and Recovery strategies using RMAN, Export/Import, Cold, Hot backups & DR solutions.
13. Expertise in implementation of physical standby database using Oracle Data Guard, Flashbackup etc.,
14. 6 – 8 years of experience on SQL Administration (preferably MCP) in ~140-200 instances, ~2000-3000 databases environment.
15. Expertise in Designing and Architecting the SQL DB.
16. Expertise in High availability configuration and clustering. (Microsoft Cluster Server, SQL Server Cluster)
17. Expertise in Performance Tuning of SQL databases
18. Expertise in SQL programming.
19. Installing, configuring SQL server and client software.
20. Experience in SQL 2000, 2005 & 2008, Schemas & Performance Monitoring.
21. Patching databases in Windows environments.
22. Experience in Netapp Snapshot, SnapMirror, DoubleTake, Veritas environments.
23. Experience in Upgrade and Migration of SQL database
24. Planning, scheduling and taking SQL backups and recovery.
25. Expertise in implementing physical standby database using logshipping, mirroring, replication.
26. Experience in MySQL (MySQL 5.X), msqldump scripts in 10-15 database environment
27. Experience in Oem Grid Control 11g (10g and 11g agents), Java 6.0, Perl Scripting
Secondary Skills:
1. Good understanding of Incident, Asset, Problem and Change Management (ITIL)
2. ITIL Certification
