• Veritas Netbackup for SQL writing BCH script files to backup/restore SQL databases to/from tapes/VTLs
• SharePoint 2003, MOSS 2007, BES, and other COTS applications and how they work with SQL
• Mitigation & management of VLDBs, tempdb growth, and ldf file growth
• Troubleshooting connectivity issues, permissions, etc with COTS and custom applications and SQL
• SQL Reporting Services with and without SharePoint Integration
• Profiling & tuning SQL
• SQL Notification Services
• SQL Analysis Services
• Database mirroring, log shipping and database replication
• Import/export of data between Access databases and SQL databases

Our client has an immediate opening for SQL Engineers SQL Database Administrator (DBA) in Reston and Arlington, VA as part of the operations and engineering teams to support an enterprise environment for a large federal agency. The MS Windows Server Engineer will be supporting MS SQL 2005, running MOSS (SharePoint) solutions. *NOTE “ We consider this a HYBRID position with deep understanding of MS Windows WINTEL operations supporting Server, OS, storage and backup/restore operations. On the DBA side it supporting MS SQL Services with COTS applications, most importantly SharePoint running on a MS Windows Server 2K3 Enterprise, MS SQL Server 2K5 environment. MS Windows Server Engineer is responsible for the Server, Storage, Clustering, OS and the Integration of SQL Server 2K5 with the Commercial Applications, preferably Sharepoint. Day to Day responsibilities include:
