Position Title : Senior Oracle Database Project Manager
Location : Jersey City, NJ
Experience Required : 15+ years
Required skills:
Relevant Experience (Yrs): 15+ years of Oracle database experience including 10+ years of Upgrade Project / Program Management experience
Technical/Functional Skills:
• Leadership: Ability to lead a team of DBAs and provide technical leadership to enterprise wide database upgrade program.
• Influencing / Collaboration: Able to quickly learn and communicate concepts and best practices. Collaborates extensively with fellow DBAs and developers within the application areas
• Ability to make use of standard procedures and techniques in work environment to bring the best of the team
Experience Required:
• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
• 5+ years of experience of leading a team of DBAs
• 5+ years of experience of leading Oracle upgrade project
• 10+ years of experience of project management experience in managing medium to large scale projects
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to effectively assess and prioritize projects and initiatives and manage the team to multiple, parallel deliverables
• Demonstrable change management experience
• Strong functional understanding of systems, databases/database, storage terminology required. Strong knowledge and understanding of Oracle database. Experience of Oracle DBA is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively at the senior management level
• Conflict resolutions skills with the ability to elicit/suggest win-win resolutions, and the ability to train others to resolve conflicts
• Ability to direct the work of staff engaged in various functions and projects
• Excellent business requirements definition skills
• Sound analytical skills with the ability to successfully troubleshoot and problem solve with both internal and remote users
• Must be a strategic thinker
• Project management certification preferred
• Prior experience of directly working with Oracle & other vendors
Education:
• Bachelor / Master degree from an accredited college or university
