Position Title : TIVOLI Batch Support Analyst
Location : Pasadena, CA
Experience Required : 5 Years
Required skills:
Necessary Skills:
• Strong UNIX Shell scripting and other Shell scripting experience.
• Strong experience on FTP and SFTP file transfer protocols
• Strong experience on application support.
• Experience with TWS (Tivoli Work Scheduler): must know how to create and modify TWS webforms to communicate new job definitions and modifications to IBM TWS Scheduling group.
• TWS (Tivoli Work Scheduler): must know and understand jobs, job streams, job dependencies as defined in TWS scheduler.
• Must know how to work with IBM scheduling team to hold jobs, release jobs, cancel jobs, etc. Must understande the nature
• of track specific job flows and work with AC's to monitor jobs and identify potential problems and business impacts.
• TWS (Tivoli Work Scheduler): Must be responsible for identifying jobstreams, jobs, etc. to hold, cancel, or run at a different time for outages that call for the stoppage of all Tivoli batch jobs. Outage support is critical in ensuring that the business data and processes are not interrupted or compromised because of scheduled and unscheduled system outages.
• Unix: must be familiar with Unix and basic Unix line commands in order to navigate the various Production and shadow servers to investigate system problems and data discrepancies that may bave a direct impact on Kaiser business.
• Unix: must be familiar with VI editor in Unix in order to make necessary modifications to configuration files and Unix shell scripts within the Batch system.
• Unix: must be familiar with Unix shell scripting in order to support our hundreds of Unix shell scripts which perform many functions on data that flows in and out of KP HealthConnect.
• FTP and SFTP file transfer protocols: must be familiar with FTP and SFTP (secure ftp) in order to support our hundreds of jobs which transmit data between our Unix HealthConnect servers, as well as jobs which transmit data to the MVS mainframe system, and also many target Windows servers.
Desired Skills:
• Epic Chronicles and Bridges: basic Epic Chronicles and Bridges systems
• Experience with Remedy ticket tracking system and sFTP tools considered a strong plus
• Java Programming
• Perl Programming
• Unix Crontab
