Position Title: DB2 DBA
Location: Bloomington, IL
Relevant experience: 4+ years
Required skills:
Requesting experienced external associate DBA with knowledge and experience working with DB2 on UNIX. Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse/Data Mart knowledge desired
• Understands and has strong experience with technical environments for DB2 on UNIX.
• Provides physical design work and systems database tuning.
• Consults on database designs.
• Assists in facilitating database and application design reviews.
• Establishes database system business resumption rules, (back-up and recovery).
• Minimizes and manages data redundancy.
• Consults and promotes reuse of data.
• Using the logical model, build physical database and associated metadata.
• Coordinate and manage the organization in the physical database for current and future database environments.
• Development and maintenance of the database.
• Work with project efforts to assist and consult on database design and implementation.
Additional Skills:
• DB2 application programming, use of DB2 utilities and tools
• SQL coding/performance tuning
• Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse/Data Mart
• DB2 UNIX
• Perl scripting and DB2 product installs
