Full-time COOP Coordinator

Requirements:
Active Top Secret Security Clearance

Professional certifications and credentials required:
1) MBCP or CBCP, and
2) CISSP, GSLC or CISM
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Description: IT COOP COORDINATOR
- 3+ to 5+ years of experience creating, supporting, or executing federal government COOP and DR planning and operations

REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to initiate and sustain trusted senior-level sponsor relationships
- Ability to drive project timelines to completion with a cross-functional team
- Ability to develop and present content in a concise, professional manner
- Strong computer, analytical, and research skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/PROJECT TASKS
- Act as the IT COOP Coordinator with the following responsibilities for the NIPRNet and SIPRNet LANs.
- Maintain/update IT Continuity of Operations Plans
- Develop/Maintain the IT Disaster Recovery Manuals
- Publish and post recovery time requirements for applications
- Develop recovery strategies with support personnel
- Establish and test procedures to ensure recoverable critical data/systems are backed-up and stored offsite
- Perform studies to determine minimum hardware/software/networking requirements for recovery site
- Ensure proprietary software license allows use at recovery site
- Coordinate recovery exercises of systems, applications, data & networking requirements for recovery site
- Ensure compliance with National, DoD, and agency directives, circulars, regulations, instructions and memoranda
- Serve as member of all applicable emergency teams
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to the IT Director and /or his alternate
- Initiate Notification and Recall Rosters
- Ensure smooth and effective transition from normal operations to emergency operations at the alternate processing facility (EDC/DRC) in a timely fashion
- Resume critical IT infrastructure support within prescribed timeframes, from the onset of a disaster or emergency
- Perform COOP Training and exercises as required to include SOP
- Perform exercises to ensure the SIPRNet and NIPRNet LANs are recoverable in accordance with mandated schedules and ongoing guidance
- Coordinate and prepare Risk
