Position Description:
Elite Technical is a technology integration and managed service provider. We are currently seeking 4 Java engineers with a strong CID Server background for a contract position with a leading edge defense company.
This position seeks a software engineer with the expertise to support all phases of development for our Combat Identification Server (CID Server) product:
• The CID Server is an information system that provides data management and information services on demand.
• CID Server receives position location information (PLI) from fielded C2 and tracking systems such as FBCB2 (EPLRS and BFT) and coalition systems and stores the most current information for each friendly element in its local database.
• CID Server uses this data base to provide warfighters at the tactical edge with rapid access to friendly position information relevant to a given target area.
• CID Server provides this information service to attack aircraft using Link 16 and SADL and to ground-based users via a web application.
• The service-oriented architecture and standards-based interfaces allow for rapid addition of new sensors, requesting agencies, requesting methods, and data sources.
• The CID Server is deployed as a turnkey hardware/software capability that is integrated into existing architectures.
• The applicant must be an expert at Java and C++ development on Linux systems who will provide key support for this effort.
• Within 2011, CID Server will be deployed at various domestic integration tests and ultimately in theater.
• A team of engineers is being assembled to fulfill the travel requirements.
• It is desired that this applicant participate in a 6 week field deployment to Afghanistan, or domestic travel for up to 4 weeks at a time.
• Consideration will be given to a very strong applicant if no travel is possible.

Travel required:
• Afghanistan team will travel for 2 weeks to Eglin AFB in Florida and 45 days to Afghanistan.
• Domestic team will have 2 trips to Camp Atterbury, Indiana: an initial trip for 2 weeks and another trip for 28 days.
Compensation:
• Afghanistan travel is planned as 84 hrs/week and there is 100% pay differential. Indiana trip is planned as 65 hour work weeks.
