Qualifications

Summary
The Senior Oracle DBA will be leading projects and supervise the design, configuration, and installation of Oracle Databases including migration of older databases up to Oracle 11g.
Responsibilities
• Provide high-level database design and strategy services
• Evaluate database performance and data utilization
• Ensure compliance with IT change control procedures
• Recommend, maintain, and implement Data standards used in all locations
• Evaluate the company’s application requirements
• Write project proposals to include cost, justification and appropriate acquisition forms
• Negotiate (pricing, services) with outside vendors providing storage hardware and software services to the company
• Plan, install, configure and maintain all database hardware and software used in all locations
• Lead the development and documentation of standards and procedures for the department
• Maintain data related work instructions for the department. Enforce storage and data standards and policies to comply with corporate requirements
• Participate in planning for the annual budget, operating within that budget once it is approved
• Ensure the utilization of the change management function as it applies to data Support
• Maintain current network physical and logical diagrams/drawings
Additional Activities
• Exhibiting compliant and ethical behavior in the performance of job responsibilities
• Develop and deliver oral and written presentations as required for IT personnel on aspects of the network support strategies in order to support the company’s application requirements
• Provide formal status and activity reports to management keeping other concerned parties informed as to staffs activities
• Actively participating in our client’s Compliance and Ethics Program, including attending annual compliance and ethics training and reporting suspected violations of the law or client policies and procedures via our client’s Procedures for Reporting Incidents of Possible Improper Employment Practices, Misconduct, or Improper Financial/Accounting Practices
