Senior Accountant
at Elite Technical Services in Nashua, NH
Must have the following:
• Must be a US Citizen or a documented perm resident green card holder
• Must pass a criminal background & drug test.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• 5 or more years of directly related experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with diverse work teams
• Proficiency in MS Office software with an emphasis on Excel
Preferences:
• Previous work experience using Oracle ERP systems
• Accounting experience in a business with government contracts
We have a short term requirement for an Accounting professional to assist our organization in successfully completely near term projects.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monthly Closings:
Work with the General Accounting Team to facilitate the closing and reporting fo ES’s financial position. This will include creation of all critical financial statements and supplemental schedules as well as variance analysis as applicable.
Intercompany Accounting:
Work with other BAE Systems units to settle Intercompany payables and receivable on a monthly basis.
Account Reconciliation:
Prepare monthly account reconciliations of applicable balance sheet accounts to ensure that reported financial statements reconcile to the company books of record, and all reconciling items are properly accounted for.
Audit Support:
Support various internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established accounting practices. Prepare various data requests in support of accounting and financial systems audits (FCA, KPMG)
Special Projects:
Support organizations continuous improvement initiatives through executing special projects as assigned.
This position provides an opportunity to be a key contributor in a fast paced financial accounting environment. Your experience in this position will provide you with an excellent knowledge base of the company financial systems and processes useful for future positions in Finance.
