Manufacturing Engineer
at confidential in Cordova, IL
We are currently seeking an entry level Manufacturing Engineer This successful person will be working in a production facility for chemicals, elastmers and plastics, and will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities:
Providing work instruction for safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible production of materials Effectively introduce new materials to plant-scale production Develop product and process understanding Implement manufacturing improvements Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting manufacturing problems Fosters and cultivates an extensive network of support (laboratory, quality, financial, manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing) to facilitate completion of assignments Provide appropriate and timely documentation of work
Basic Qualifications
Either possess or be in your last year of pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering Current overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience or training in lean manufacturing and six sigma improvement processes Understanding of statistical methods of analysis Familiarity and ability to use MicroSoft basic computer tools to process and analyze data Excellent verbal and written communication skills Have problem-solving experience and skills Good people skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment Excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments Good work habits - timely, thorough, and dependable Flexible to provide support for round-the-clock manufacturing operations as needed Core values in safe, health-conscious and environmentally-responsible manufacturing
