The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the serving line, assembling trays on the tray line, washing dishes, storing food deliveries, making tray deliveries to the floor, setting up for special events, cleaning the cafeteria and kitchen and other duties as assigned by the Dietary Director. The Dietary Aide will need to be able to follow verbal instructions. Experience:Prefer one (1) year of experience in institutional food services. Familiarity with food service equipment is required. The position requires good customer service skills. The candidate must possess an understanding of safety management processes. The candidate must be willing to work with minimal supervision. Requirements will include successful completion of orientation checklist and skills / credentials / competency requirements of specific unit. Typical Physical Demands:The position requires full range of motion including handling and lifting of boxes and/or equipment, manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination. The position requires standing and walking for extensive period of time. In this position, you may require lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. This job may require frequent bending, squatting and kneeling. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The job may also require the ability to work under potential stressful conditions and/or irregular hours.
