Senior Sales Account Manager

Responsible for selling the company’s products or services and maintaining relationships with key, major or national accounts. Responsible for expanding market-share in the region across all roadmaps. Developing key accounts along exchange or acquiring new accounts directly or through distribution, to secure the growth in market share. May manage ROEM or distribution sales channel in a specified regions, or large assigned accounts on a national or worldwide basis.May direct a major part of the organization’s sales activities in OEM/Channel Account base. Develops sales strategy and forecasts sales volumes for the assigned market. Domestic or international travel may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing and generating all sales activates into assigned national or worldwide sales accounts Conducts research, provides plans and proposals to further successful penetration into target accounts Supports, discusses and monitors all necessary actions for technical design-in of products Collaborates with executive sales management to present and negotiate contracts. Calls on accounts, provides technical and administrative productinformation and/or demonstrations and quotes appropriate pricing Handles large, critical and/or complex accounts
Responsible for meeting individual sales goals, Builds relationships and influences the mind share of the customer in order to increase sales and market share while maintaining a competitive position and yielding the highest possible returns on sales Position has assigned individual sales goals Collects, compiles and analyzes information, i.e., forecasting, competitive information, etc.
Works with and through other departments within company to ensure that all sales activities meet/satisfy all business and/or legal requirements Works closely at all levels within assigned account to identify all new opportunities for present and future products Uses appropriate internal resources to meet customer requirements/schedules Identifies and properly handles complex issues requiring a high level of expertise in decision-making May be a team leader for a major account after performing the current position in a superior fashion Involved in strategic planning with customers sell thru/pull thru
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent experience 4-6 years of experience in a senior sales role Leadership experience
Entrepreneurial approach with ability to be a team player on all levels of the organization Proven ability to achieve sales targets and develop new business Knowledge of disk drive business with solid technical skills Experience in hard drive channel sales preferred Strong Negotiation skills Effectively uses WD sales process, tools and qualification procedures Technical background to understand company’s and competitors’ products would be an added advantage Ability to leverage relationships and contacts made in the marketplace Experience in managing staff and budgets Ability to handle pressure and diverse issues simultaneously Exhibit excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate a team
Builds and nurtures strong relationships within the company Set clear expectations and follow through on them Interact and communicate effectively with employees, vendors, contractors, and management on business matters in a business-professional manner Ability to influence peers and management
