Full-time Project Coordinator

Help train (site personnel) on management issues. Ex. Scorecard understanding, Scheduling issues, Client interaction.• Estimating1) Analyze bid documents such as blueprints, specifications, etc., to prepare estimates.2) Measurement of prints for pricing changes and extras.3) Assist with:- Writing formal proposals.- Upgrading and devising new estimating methods.- Sales and project negotiations.- Finding new projects.- Other members of the estimating team.- Communicate with clients (owners, general contractors, etc.) or Interstates field supervision in the field.4) Travel to pre or post bid meetings. 5) Train new estimators or others helping on a temporary basis.6) Pricing of changes, EWO’s, and print changes using Accubid and/or spreadsheet software.7) Review data to prepare material and labor takeoffs.8) Consult with clients and vendors to prepare takeoffs.9) Formulate estimate requirements for electrical equipment on a design/build basis.Project Delivery responsibility for smaller capital projectsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel will be required and will vary according to jobsite needs and assigned duties. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or business preferred.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires strong computer skills, field electrical on-the-job training (or equivalent) and general understanding and appreciation of business methods and corporate needs. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work and deal with stress. Must have the ability to work cooperatively with others. Must be capable of handling the work schedule and attendance policies required at Interstates. Must acquire and utilize the skills required to operate the Lotus Notes functions used or prescribed by the Department and Company to efficiently conduct business.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
