The Switchboard Operator is responsible for placing, receiving, connecting, and routing calls through an electronic switchboard and: Supplies information to callers. Schedules, tracks, and establishes Meet-Me Nets and conference calls. Instructs customers on Meet-Me net and conference call procedures. Connects a variety of Digital Red Switch Network (DRSN), Digital Switch Network (DSN), and off-net calls in accordance with Air Force, Air Force Space Command, and local policy and guidance. Records DRSN conference calls when requested. Provides directory assistance and maintains the telephone directory database. Assists in compiling maintaining and publishing official telephone directories.


Required Skills/Education:
Minimum 1 year experience Must speak fluent English Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of management and customer base along with the ability to multi-task Experience operating a multi-line phone system, paging, and voicemail Experience with MS Office products including Excel, Word HS or equivalent TOP SECRET/SCI (when required)
