Registered Nurse
at confidential in Kailua, HI
POSITION SUMMARY:
The registerd professional nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities within the area of the Nurse's tour of duty. The registered nurse is also responsible for supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgement.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii. Must obtain a minimum of 12 contact hours of relevant continuing education a year to retain CMC employement. Mandatory CMC training does not count towards these 12 additional contact hours.
MINIMUM FIELD-OF-EXPERTISE:
One (1) year of clinical experience in the speciality applying for or a closely related field within the last two (2) years. Exceptions made per supervisor for training positions. Basic computer knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Windows application.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION:
Current BLS-Healthcare Provider - biennaially. Basic EKG course (or demonstrated competency) and ACLS for ED, CCU, Telementry and PACU. NRP required for Women's Center. EFM required for Labor & Delivery. CPMR required for BHS and ED. PALS-ED. Certification in specialty area is desirable. Home Care: Current Hawaii driver's license in good standing and current No-fault auto insurance.
