Assembly Tech - Pre Fab
at confidential in Hull, IA
SUMMARY: An assembler Tech position in the Inter Fab shop is responsible for assisting the Inter Fab crew with activities performed in the Inter Fab shop to ensure quality and timely completion of multi task projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1) Assist in assembling Conduit racks , spooling wire, and various simple assemblies
2) Maintain a clean and organize shop area includes but not limited to : sweeping and trash detail
3) Must be able to hold themselves accountable for : safety, quality, productivity
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: No travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or GED required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
This position will require the ability to deal tactfully with employees and customers. Ability to display and convey a positive image of self and the company to all individuals in daily duties. Must have the ability to work in a team atmosphere. Must be capable of handling the work schedule and attendance policies required at Interstates.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
