Quality Control Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
· The Quality Control Manager is generally responsible for all compliance issues as they apply to the functional operation of this contract.
· Develops, implements, and maintains the Quality Control Plan that is tailored to the contract and encompasses all facets of the operation.
· Oversees inspections of work in progress and finished work for discrepancies in accordance with the Quality Control Plan and contract requirements.
· Completes necessary inspection reports and documentation required to support findings.
· Maintains the Quality Control Plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & JOB FUNCTIONS
· Responsible for inspecting work accomplished by CWS and subcontractor personnel, to identify any flaws or defects.
· Responsible for coordinating with customer personnel on all matters relating to the quality or quantity of contractor work.
· Responsible for oversight of all vendor subcontractors performing work for or on behalf of CWS at this project location.
· Coordinates with CWS and subcontractor functional managers and supervisors to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of all tasks.
· Reports to the Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager on all issues, problems, accomplishments, and results of surveys, inspections, meetings, and observations relating to performance of CWS and subcontractor personnel.
· Maintains inspection records and submits weekly reports to the customer on all quality control inspections conducted.
· Briefs and coordinates with the Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager on all matters related to Quality Control.
Job Requirements :
· High School graduate and some college coursework desired. Certification in Quality Control desirable.
· Minimum of 5 years experience in management and administrative support services contracts with 2 of 5 years in quality control.
· Knowledge of generally accepted standards of workmanship in construction/maintenance of facilities, grounds, and power distribution systems.
· Knowledge of OSHA standards for a variety of craft and labor activities.
· Ability to communicate ideas effectively with personnel at all levels.
· Knowledge of Government contracting terminology and applications. Ability to interpret and utilize this t erminology and application.
· Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
· Knowledge of environmental issues relating to contractual requirements.
· Ability to work harmoniously with others.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point.
· BA degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or other related field.
· Working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, pipefitting, painting, and general construction activities.
· Good administrative skills.
· Completion of the Navy’s CQM Construction Quality Management training with certificate.
