Mechanical Engineer, Mid
at confidential in Tamuning, GU
Provide mechanical system technical expertise, construction management, and project engineering on several projects simultaneously for a DoD client. Coordinate with project managers, construction contractors, and project implementation teams to control the quality, scope, and cost for projects relating to the maintenance and improvement of base facilities and infrastructure. Prepare schedules and directives, review plans and specifications, address RFIs, conduct plan reviews, determine the scope of work, and develop cost estimates. Use a variety of resources to ensure the project scope complies with installation and DoD policies, procedures, standards, instructions, and guidance. This position is located on Guam.
Basic Qualifications:
-3 years of experience with mechanical engineering, HVAC, plumbing, and piping
-Knowledge of the Automated Civil Engineer System (ACES)
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Project
-Knowledge of Air Force 1391 MILCON programming
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with the Air Force or Military engineering and construction
-Experience with conducting project inspections
-Ability to be self-motivated and be a team player
-Ability to multi-task and handle several projects at the same time
-Ability to work with project managers and support teams
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
