We are looking for a Plant Manager at Alcoa’s Kawneer Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, Manufacturing Plant. The plant operates a multi-level complex fabrication process including standard fabrication, custom fabrication, unitizied curtain wall and custom wall.

A few of the responsibilities include:

• P&L accountability
• Provide strategic leadership, direction and development for a multi-million dollar plant wth over 250 people.
• Responsible for all aspects of plant operations including Environmental Health and Safety, Quality, OTIF, Degrees of Implementation reporting, Productivity and efficiency gains, ABS and continuous imporovement and supporting Customer demands. Provide framework for monthly, weekly and quarterly business analysis and report, that ensure a profitably operation business.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Minimum 7 years of progressively more complex operational, general management and leadership experience.
• Experience leading change via lean manufacturing tools and employee engagement.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a union environment a plus.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
• Exceptional written and verbal communication
• Detail oriented with proven time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient knowledge of critical IT infrastructure systems.
• Knowledge of aluminum manufacturing process including extrusion, paint, and anodizing processes
• Experience with budgets and financial statements, as well as linking manufacturing and financial data to drive critical business results..
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required specifically lean manufacturing and process management.
