This position operates in an industrial environment at a unionized
chemicals manufacturing location. The Production Supervisor position is
responsible for providing provide oversight and direction to the
manufacture of products or delivery of services. This includes assuring
that operations equipment is available or in service to meet production
requirements; evaluates the condition of current equipment; recommending
or initiating maintenance; and ensuring equipment has been placed in a
safe condition prior to any work being performed. The Production
Supervisor must also effectively supervise assigned wage personnel.
This includes adherence to performance standards; control of overtime
and other work rules in accordance with the plant rules and the
provisions of the labor agreement; safe and efficient operation of
equipment consistent with production demands; and minimizing the cost of
operating supplies by controlling their use and inventory level. The
production Supervisor work schedule is normally a rotating shift
schedule to facilitate a continuous, 24/7 operating facility.’,’!*!This
