This position is responsible for:
Improve product quality and reduce cost throughout analysis of
production methods, processes, and optimum utilization of personnel
Actively participate in all systems manufacturing planning, including
capital investments product design issues, resource allocation, plant
lay out and quality issues
Provide expertise in machining, welding, material handling, paint and
assembly process
Participates with work teams on improvement projects assists teams with
identifying improvements opportunities, developing action plans, joint
problem solving, research, and documentation
Define current state and future state flow of material and information
Aids in Rapid Improvement Process (RIP) and kaizen events
Provides technical support for level loading/production scheduling
Work with production supervisors on manufacturing safety issues
Responsible for working with product engineering on new produt
development and change management
Provides leadership to the plant technical team
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
BS Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
Experience in implementation of lean principles, tools, and methods.
Project Management experience
Experience with tooling design
Experience Coaching and developing Team Members
Experience creating engineering drawings and schematics
Skills:
Understanding and use of precision measuring instruments
Flexible work schedule including travel as necessary
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Supports other company initiatives as required
Proficient in the uses of PC’s such as Excel, Word, Access etc.
