• QUALFICATIONS **

• TECHNICAL STACK **
  • Demonstrable experience designing, planning, and implementing complex virtualized solutions for customers including; VMware ESX, VMware vSphere, VMware Server, VMware vCloud & vCenter
  • Track record implementing large, complex enterprise-class solutions using VMware technologies
  • In depth System Engineering experience involving hardware, software and services solutions for WinTel (x86) Solutions at an enterprise level. Platforms include; Sun (Sun Fire, Sun Blade, x64), HP (BladeSystem and ISS), and IBM (System x and BladeCenter)
  • Advanced Networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing, Firewalls, Network Security)
  • Active Directory and Messaging
  • Knowledge on advanced Citrix products (XenDesktop, Provisioning Server, XenApp, MetaFrame).
  • Technical and application Development, SQL, and/or scripting experience is highly desired

Career oriented and inclination for a full time direct opportunity as a VMware Consultant we have two openings; (1) Senior Level & (2) Mid level; with a background implementing VMware / Citrix / Microsoft / Blade Server Enterprise level solutions into Fortune 500 clients. Positions are scheduled for start date in early August with an interview date planned for Friday July 16th. Our client is a well established information technology infrastructure integrator based in the Chicago IL area servicing organizations nationwide. The technology focus is to reduce cost, manage risk and improving performance through infrastructure optimization utilizing Virtualization and Consolidation technologies and established best practices. Consultants are based throughout the US, near a major airport. Travel is 100%, typically 4 ½ days per week.

• SUMMARY **
  • The Senior level VMware Consultant will work under lead consultants or project managers within an hourly or fixed bid based projects. Engagements typically include the full project life-cycle including; assess, architect, design and implement complex system configurations for WinTel (x86) based platforms
  • Solutions are constructed from IBM (system x and BladeCenter), HP (BladeSystem and ISS) and Sun (Sun Fire, Sun Blade, x64) including rack and blade servers.
  • Environments including VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, and Enterprise Server Management

• RESPONSIBILITIES **
  • Customer Satisfaction (CSAT); Consistently achieve high level (4 out of 5) on consulting engagements by following project manager and technical lead consultant direction
  • Assess, architect, implement and troubleshoot IT infrastructure system configurations, including hardware and software in customer environments. Present technical findings to customers at various levels ranging from technical audiences to business managers
  • Directly interact with clients, account managers and company architects to identify, develop, qualify, obtain complete information for solutions, and complete proposal/SOW development
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in related solutions such as Server Consolidation and Business Continuity.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in migration methods and tools and operational management of large virtualized environments
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) across three solution areas including technologies from Microsoft, VMware, and Citrix.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for related integration points such as SAN/NAS and backup and recovery
  • Assess, design, plan, and implement complex virtualization implementations and migrations for enterprise environments (hundreds to thousands of servers)
  • Technical lead for complex solutions and provide broad and deep subject matter expertise in related technologies including directories, server provisioning and management, application delivery, and general best practices related to WinTel (x86) computing
  • Mentor consultants and serve as escalation point for their technical related project issues

  • This is a Nationwide Travel oriented position. Senior Consultants are based near a major US Airport and go where the customer and the work is
