Our client has an immediate opening for a Senior Java Developer to support professional services and consulting contracts with Federal Civilian agencies in the DC metropolitan area. The qualified candidate will be required to be a self-starter and work within a team environment. The candidate must have demonstrated software engineering expertise specifically Java technologies to develop enterprise applications and perform systems integration. Perform full lifecycle delivery including requirements definition and analysis, design, implement and deploy complex technology solutions across diverse business environments. Provide technical leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and professionalism. Ability to communicate comfortably with all levels of staff and management are a must.Project summary: To design, develop, test and implement new and existing applications and systems to legacy systems on the mainframe.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Code, unit test, design and resolve defects for applications, systems, components and interfaces
• Collaborate with development team on technical solutions
• Identify user requirements, translate and produce effective designs, specs and solutions
• Provide high quality consultation to business partners
