We are seeking an Information Technology oriented Project Manager with a background in managing Software Development projects. Our client has a 6-month contract with potential conversion to full time after 6-months. The Project Manager will be responsible for project deliverables related to Medical Software that is WEB based / Client Server with Database backend. The Project manager will have extensive interacting with state agencies related to delivering medical care. The Project Manager will be expected to utilize strong Customer Service skills and know how to react to challenging client demands. End Customer is NY State Health Agency and requires Customer facing. Standard Project Management tasks include:

• Plan, coordinate and supervise complex assignments
• Develop, plan, analyze, evaluate and request priorities to deliverables and requirements
• Define project phases, set deadlines
• Develop project plans with milestones
• Develop project documentation (Communication Plan, Functional Requirements, etc.)
• Perform a governing role, ensuring that the following meets promised schedules including; Initiation, Development, Managing, Deployment, Training and Hand-Off and Closure
• Perform Risk Identification
• Escalating unresolved issues to the Management
• Ensure client satisfaction with the Project process by effective and timely communication, including; Status Reporting, Continual Risk/Issue Assessment/Management and Escalation, Resolution of issues as they arise.

Qualified Professional Project Managers will have a background and be able to demonstrate the following skills to be considered:

• Related BS Degree plus Five (5) Years of Project Management Experience. Will consider equivalent experience
• History of managing software related projects
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing large and complex IT projects
• Full Life Cycle Development experience
• Experience with proven Project Methodology tools
• Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• MUST demonstrate a high-degree of Client Management skills
• MUST be customer focused
• MUST demonstrate excellent interpersonal/communication skills
• Pass a drug screening and background investigation
