  • Skills:
• Minimum 6-10 years of related experience (minimum of 5 years of Network Security work experience)
  • Hands-on experience support experience on the following: * Strong Firewall support experience
• Configuration and operational support of Cisco PIX and Cisco ASA
• Configuration and operational support of IDS, IPS and NIDS and HIDS appliances. Client is in the process of implementing McAfee Network Security Platform
  (formerly Intrushield IPS)
• Familiarity with FISMA, NIST, OMB A-130, and other information security-related Federal guidelines

Our client has an immediate opening for a Senior Network Security Engineer within their Information Assurance Division. This role acts as a subject matter expert for the troubleshooting of network security issues. Participates with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. Configures and validates secure systems. Tests security products and systems to detect security weaknesses. Additional responsibilities include; recommending, designing, and developing integrated network security system solutions. This role provides senior level support for the installation, upgrades, configuration changes, and monitoring of network security systems including firewalls, network based intrusion detection systems, secure email, spam filtering appliances and web proxies. This is a Contract-to-hire position with conversion in 3 to 4 ½ months. Additional Comments
