• 9+ years of Oracle database experience
• 4+ years of experience in database performance measurement, tuning and maintenance
• Database Recovery experience
• Database Design, Indexing Concepts, Coding
• Perform database capacity planning related to database growth and system, database tuning, utilization, trend analysis, and predicting future database resource requirements
• Perform ongoing assessment of database performance and identification of problem areas
• Oracle RAC with Veritas System Foundation for RAC (SFRAC), RMAN
• Experience developing repeatable processes for Oracle RAC install, upgrades, patching, and other administrative core DBA functions
• Experience in investigating and assessing database design architectures (Oracle)
• Proficiency in UNIX Shell scripting, PL/SQL
• Experience with Oracle configuration to WebLogic and/or Plumtree Portal (AquaLogic User Interaction or Oracle Web Center)
• Experience with ASM, Dataguard

Our client has a contract to hire position for a hands-on Sr. Oracle Database Engineer to lead or support a small team of expert database consultants and be responsible for researching and assessing the technical viability of client data base designs and implementations for a complex muti-system, multi-database real-time application.
