• Top Secret Clearance required to start.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or possesses a similar security professional certification.
• Certification is not required, just preferred.
• BS Degree plus 2 years experience. Equivalent, 4 years of relevant Information Assurance (IA) experience Strong relevant experience and education can substitute for these certifications.
• Must demonstrate a background and understanding of working with NIST standards. Knowledge of Federal Standards including; FISMA, CNSS, OMB etc… are a PLUS
• Candidates must possess experience interpreting/analyzing vulnerability scanning results.

This is a Direct Placement position in Washington DC working on contract at DHS supporting the ICE Program. We have multiple openings for Junior to Mid level Security Professionals with Information Assurance (IA) experience. The ISSO is responsible for ensuring that management; operational and technical controls for securing either National Security Systems or SBU level IT Systems are in place and are followed. This includes ensuring that appropriate steps are taken to implement information security requirements for IT systems throughout their life cycle, from the requirements definition phase through disposal.
