Software Testing / Quality Assurance Lead
at Elite Technical Services in Westport, CT
Science or related field of education. Knowledge of QA Best practices and industry standards. Extensive experience in writing Test Plans and test cases. Experience with all stages of SDLC. Expertise in Black box and white box testing techniques. Expertise in Functional, Integration, Performance and Security testing. Ability to manage a small team of QA Testers. Ability to communicate with Business users and technology developers at conceptual as well as detailed level
Expertise in one or more of the following:
• One or more scripting languages e.g. Perl, VBScript, Power Shell, etc.
• Designing and developing test frameworks using test automation tools like QTP, WinRunner, Load Runner, etc
• SQL, PL-SQL, Database testing
• Unit testing frameworks like NUnit, JUnit, etc
• Designing and implementing test harnesses in any one or more programming languages like C#, Java, C++, etc.
Preferable candidate will have a background in Investment Banking/Hedge Fund business knowledge & Knowledge of Front office Trading and Market Data Systems. Personality characteristics/traits should detail a strong passion for quality and drive for results. Excellent written and verbal communication skills – capability to convince people based on reasoning, not solely on experience
Our client a major Financial Services company in Stamford CT. is seeking to on-board an established Quality Assurance (QA) / Software Testing, Lead Professional. This is a stable contract position for 12 months plus, renewed every 12 months. Ideally the selected Consultant will have a demonstrated background in a leadership role and will be expected to establish Quality Assurance and Testing standards, solve current quality and testing shortcomings, establish quality and testing strategies, priorities and standards. The selected consultant will be expected to engage and establish interaction with the Development teams, have the ability to multi-task between multiple initiatives and bring on-board Software Testers into an established Software Quality and Testing environment.
