**Education, skills and experience:
- Must be US Citizen.
- Must be qualified to receive a TSA Public Trust clearance (Active Secret or higher is desirable).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent science oriented discipline; Microsoft certifications or equivalent.
Experience level:
- Ideally candidate will have certifications including; MCSE 2000 / 2003, CCNA or CCNP or other equivalent industry credentials (include the date of award of all certifications listed on the resume).
- 8-years or more, experienced in the operational support and administration of the Windows Operating Systems and its associated services, Exchange Messaging, Domain Services (DNS), Active Directory, File and Print Server services, Outlook Web Access processing, Virtual Private Network (VPN)Server services, Intranet, Extranet and Proxy processing environments.
- 8-years or more experience in Infrastructure Support including; LAN/WAN support in a Cisco networking environment including Cisco Switches, Routers and PIX Firewalls. Demonstrated Knowledge of IP Routing Protocols, Addressing, VLAN, VPN operations.
- Must have Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server administration experience.
**Demonstrated Skills:
- Must be experienced installing and supporting clustered, active/passive, active/active, redundant high availability server configurations.
- Experience in management, administration and support of the Blackberry Server its associated services * Must have experience with network design, devices and protocols (Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, IP addressing) and function within an enterprise NOC infrastructure.

Our client has multiple Operational Support contract positions working in their Technical Operations Center supporting a major agency within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The successful Windows Support Engineer will have broad experience supporting the Infrastructure including; Windows Operating Systems and its associated services, Exchange Messaging, Blackberry Server, Domain Services (DNS), Active Directory, File and Print Server services, Outlook Web Access processing, Virtual Private Network (VPN)Server services, Intranet, Extranet and Proxy processing environments.
The Support Engineer will have a solid understanding of LAN/WAN operation on Cisco Networking Gear. Will be responsible for isolating issues across the entire platform. Responsible for providing level 2 and 3 support in a 24×7 operating environment.
Technical support activities includes user account administration, monitoring production processing servers and environments (500-distributed servers), configuration management, tape operations, storage management, and operational support and maintenance of Windows processing environments. Responsible for managing events and incidents and triage.
Provide level 2 and 3 technical analysis, assessment, troubleshooting and resolution to end-user trouble calls. In addition to the above, you will be required to provide project management, planning, determination of functional requirements, design, development, testing, implementation and ongoing maintenance and support of high availability production processing environments, and assess on-going support requirements for such solutions when being introduced within a Data Center environment.
- 24/7 Technical Operations Center, professional and very customer focused. Work Hours (1st & 2nd shifts): Sun-Wed: 1st shift – 6am-4pm; 2nd shift – 12pm-10pm and Wed-Sat: 1st shift – 6am-4pm; 2nd shift – 12pm-10pm. Client will not accept candidates looking to use this as a 2nd full time position!
