Full-time Pre-Sales Support Engineer

at Elite Technical Services in Herndon, VA

To Quality: Three (3) PLUS years experience as a Systems/Sales Engineer or equivalent supporting enterprise computing environments. BS Degree College degree or equivalent training and experience. Must have an active Red Hat Certification (RHCVA, RHCT, RHCE, JBCAA). Clearly demonstrate specific in-depth knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) The successful job seeker will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Advanced knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and systems management
  • Knowledge of networking, complex software integration and databases
  • Comfortable with solutions selling process
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and be proficient in presentation and client facing skills
  • Ability to work in the field in remote offices, and be self-managing with excellent time management skills
    Preferred skills:
  • Knowledge of JBOSS solutions
  • Knowledge of Virtualization solutions (i.e. VMWare, RHEV, etc)

Job Summary: Our client is a “Red Hat Ready” partner servicing Government and Enterprise level Commercial clients. They seek a direct hire Pre-Sales Support Engineer who is equipped to technically lead their Red Hat Partnership from the engineering and technical perspective. The Pre-Sales Support Engineer builds partnerships with internal Account Executives and Red Hat from a technical perspective. The hired candidate will become the technical point of contact for prospects, customers and the sales team. Working with the Account Management team the Pre-Sales Support Engineer is responsible for developing close trusting relationships with clients. Will be expected to lead the gathering of architecture, design and presentation of solutions to meet the client needs and requirements. Research and write the responses to technical sections of RFI/RFPs. Drive and support pre-sales pilots, demonstrations and benchmarks
