It is critical to find top people at all levels in order to continue delivering the best customized solutions for our clients. Currently, our Austin team is seeking a Network Administrator to provide the best level of support possible.
The Network Administrator Will:
Utilize problem solving skills to troubleshoot network connectivity.
Install, maintain, and restart servers, including backups, recovery, patching and upgrades.
Ensure server availability (Domain Controllers, Virtual Servers, application test servers, etc.).
Maintain baseline image of standard client workstation configuration on desktop PCs and notebook computers to provide quick, effective responses to requests.
Experience using Microsoft desktop deployment tools.
Experience configuring Windows Server and Windows Vista security settings.
Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, determine the nature of employee’s workstation, network or problems, and take corrective actions as necessary.
Assist employees via phone and on-site support to install, upgrade, and maintain desktop and portable computer hardware, software, printers, and peripherals.
Interact with employees, other members of the team and project managers in a positive manner to deliver on-time and above standard solutions for our clients and AIS employees.
Use knowledge of network support, PC workstations, software, and systems to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Ensure that other members of the team are kept informed of the status by means of the “helpdesk” email folder.
Have a strong desire to gain or use extra-curricular certifications as part of ongoing professional growth.
Maintain high ethical and moral standards expected to continue holding DoD Secret security clearance in order to gain access to client sites and networks.
Success Criteria:
Utilize comprehensive knowledge of Servers, PCs, printers, networks, and networking devices to support and provide diagnostics for Intel based PC equipment and related peripherals.
Use a minimum of two years of Information Technology experience, and 3 years in a technical support environment to implement technical solutions.
Utilize technical knowledge while communicating pleasantly with employees and provide timely resolutions to issues.
Use organizational, detail-oriented personality, and ethical behavior to interact daily with client services team.
Desired Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Familiarity with Windows Server 2008 and/or Windows Server 2008 R2.
Familiarity with System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and/or Microsoft Operations Management (MOM).
Familiarity with server backup software, preferably CA’s
Bonus Skills:
Familiarity the Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC) and/or the Army Golden Master (AGM).
Familiarity with Windows 7.
Knowledge of Hyper‑V
Familiarity with implementing SharePoint infrastructure environments.
